Not only does the preseason roster of the Atlanta Hawks feature seven players with less than two years of experience in the NBA, the rest of the team isn’t filled with experienced players.
No player on the roster has started half of the games they have appeared in during their NBA career.

The rest of the expected starters are being relied on more than ever during their career. Center Dewayne Dedmon started just 37 times a year ago, sophomore forward Taurean Prince made just 10 starts as a rookie and Ersan Ilyasova opened the 2016-17 season in Oklahoma City was dealt to Philadelphia and then shipped to the Hawks at the trade deadline.
