1. Mike Scott, Jodie Meeks play well off the bench

Mike Scott has found himself in a fortunate position to prove himself on a roster that is certainly among the top four in the Eastern Conference. He is truly in a prove-it-now position, and wasted no time with his minutes against the Knicks. In 18 minutes of play, Scott scored 12 points shooting 5-of-9 from the field and going 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. He made fair contributions with four rebounds and three assists and found himself making few mistakes and zero turnovers.

Jodie Meeks had a much quieter night as far as playing time, but he also had a solid game with the opportunities that were there. In only eight minutes on the court, he scored eight points on 3-of-5 shooting, hitting 2-of-4 from 3-point land. Meeks will surely have plenty more minutes ahead of him coming off the bench for Bradley Beal.

As for Jason Smith, he was completely awful and had as bad a night as possible, and did so with the starting rotation. He played 15 minutes and produced just two points, shooting 0-for-5 from the field and 0-for-4 from beyond the arc. To accompany his awful offensive performance, he grabbed just three boards and had one assist.

While Tim Frazier did not make an appearance, it seems safe to say that at least from this performance, the new additions to the rotation are holding up to any early criticism.
