2. A fair night for Kelly Oubre Jr.

Kelly Oubre Jr. should be considered to be on thin ice if he finds his way to an underwhelming season during 2017-18. With Markieff Morris out for roughly the next seven weeks, it is certainly crunch time for any player at the 4 on the Washington Wizards.

Kelly Oubre Jr. is hailed by fans as a likely candidate to fill the temporary void starting at the 3 or 4 with his flexibility and athleticism. He is a capable defender when he wants to be, but what is most desired is a clear improvement from beyond the arc.

That has yet to be seen thus far, as he shot 2-for-6 from beyond the arc, and 5-for-13 from the field (38.5 percent). He was given generous minutes to create opportunities, but he continued to fire away and come up just shy of a better night. In just 25 minutes of action, Oubre scored 14 points and showed quick hands, coming away with three steals, one block, one assist and three rebounds.

It was a fair night for Oubre, but it is imperative for him to improve his percentage from the outside if he wishes to rightfully earn the minutes that are up for grabs at the 4.
