The New York Knicks improved in some aspects and failed in others during their preseason game against the Washington Wizards. Here are 3 takeaways from the Knicks second preseason game of the 2017-18 season.

The New York Knicks turned out to have a much better game during their second preseason game despite falling short 104-100 to the Wizards. There was a sense of urgency on the court for all four quarters and that can be said for every player that found minutes.

Fan favorites Ron Baker and Mindaugas Kuzminskas have yet to make in appearance two games into the preseason.

We also did not see any of Kristaps Porzingis, Frank Ntilikina or Kyle ‘O Quinn on the night either.

This was an impressive outing to say the least without the Knicks’ best player on the court, or their most valuable draft pick. Meanwhile, fellow rookie Damyean Dotson had a decent night offensively, but was found out of place on defense for a few plays.

Overall the Knicks looked gritty for two consecutive games now, and the offense looks fluid and unselfish from what eyes can see.

The Knicks have Saturday off, but will face the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night for a redemption game coming off two losses.

Here are three takeaways to reflect on from their preseason game against the Washington Wizards.
