The Toronto Raptors will be looking to make their fifth consecutive playoff appearance this upcoming season with the help of DeMar DeRozan. Here are five goals for DeRozan in 2017-18.

The Toronto Raptors may have mixed reviews from fans as they enter the 2017-18 NBA season. During the 2016-17 regular season, the Toronto Raptors finished with a 51-31 record, finding their way into the third seed in the Eastern Conference.

Despite an overall solid regular season and defeating the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the playoffs, the Raptors soon would allow all of their weaknesses to be exposed in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

In a ugly sweep at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Raptors offered little to no resistance and were unable to challenge the team that made three consecutive Finals appearances. This season, the Raptors will look to return again to their winning ways, and hopefully enjoy a deeper playoff run while undergoing various roster adjustments.

Offensively speaking, the Raptors’ rotation seems to have gotten an upgrade with the sign-and-trade of C.J Miles that sent Cory Joseph to the Indiana Pacers. But more importantly, the Raptors retained their core by re-signing Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka.

Now the Raptors will look to improve on what became a disappointing end to the 2016-17 season. A main key in that process will fall on the shoulders of DeMar DeRozan. Here are five goals for him in 2017-18.
