The San Antonio Spurs are going to be without Tony Parker for a good amount of the season. Because of this, Dejounte Murray will be taking over the starting job. Here are five goals for Murray in 2017-18.
The San Antonio Spurs are gearing up for the new NBA season, but this time without their veteran point guard Tony Parker.
Parker suffered a torn quad in last year’s NBA Playoffs. The injury is going to have Parker out until at least January, though he may be back sooner.
Because Parker is going to be missing from the starting lineup, 21-year-old Dejounte Murray is the likely replacement. Murray is entering his second year with the Spurs. During his short time with the Spurs, Murray has shown that he could be an elite talent in the next few years.
New teammate Rudy Gay has been impressed with Murray so far this season.
It looks like all eyes are on Murray this season for the Spurs. He will be joined by All-Stars Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge, but he is still crucial to this team.
