The Philadelphia 76ers had quite the offseason and the results have them looking like a playoff team in 2017-18.

The Philadelphia 76ers made some moves in the offseason, positioning themselves as a potential playoff team in 2017-18. The Sixers were still a lottery team after going 28-54 last season, but the expectations have risen for the upcoming season with some key additions.

Philadelphia has preached for the past couple seasons about trusting “The Process” despite the bumps in the road, and it’s improved the direction of the organization thus far. Now, they’re in the next step of the process, which is becoming a contender for an NBA title.

The Sixers solved their depth issues in a hurry by acquiring J.J. Redick and Amir Johnson in free agency, as well as Markelle Fultz in the 2017 NBA Draft. They also look forward to the return of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid from injury. Both players have shown tons of upside, but remaining healthy is a big key if the team hopes to make a run to the playoffs.

They haven’t made the NBA Playoffs since the 2011-12 season. Ending this five-year drought won’t be easy, but here’s a look at five keys for the Philadelphia 76ers as they look to make the playoffs this upcoming season.
