1. De’Aaron Fox Wins Rookie of the Year Award

There are quite a few Rookie of the Year candidates this season, but De’Aaron Fox has to be one of the best. After being drafted with the No. 5 overall pick by the Kings, Fox is expected to be handed the keys to the offense immediately.

Sacramento was focused on Fox throughout the entire draft process. Divac liked what he saw in the young point guard out of Kentucky and was thrilled to be able to get him five picks into the draft. Now, Fox will be given the opportunity to show why he thinks he was the best point guard available in the draft, even over Lonzo Ball.

Last season at Kentucky, Fox averaged 16.7 points, 4.6 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game. He shot 47.9 percent from the floor, but struggled from 3-point range at just 24.6 percent. Fox will need to work on his perimeter shooting, but his ability to get to the rim is impressive.
