The Memphis Grizzlies are one game into their preseason schedule, which seems as good a time as any to make some reckless predictions. We’re not talking about forecasting what is likely for the team, or even what seems like being within the realm of possibility.

These predictions are intentionally bold. They’re the type of things that might only happen once or twice if the 2017-18 season played out 100 different times. There is no unifying theory across them, so, as you will find. Some are bold in a positive sense (from a supporter of the team’s perspective), and some will be negative.
We’ve ranked them in order from most likely to occur to least. Let’s dive in.
