New York Knicks: 3 reasons this team can’t be trusted
By Eric Snyder
Without Carmelo Anthony, the New York Knicks must use training camp to develop an identity. Yet, there isn’t a person on the team who can be trusted.
For the first time in a while, the New York Knicks are a young team building for the future. Carmelo Anthony is gone and now its time for Kristaps Porzingis and others to step up.
Any team going through a period of transition will face road blocks of all sorts. In the past, the Knicks couldn’t get out of their own way. Public disputes with current and former players marred last season in what seemed like a never-ending cycle of embarrassment.
The dust has now settled in New York and Jeff Hornacek looks to reshape the team in his image throughout training camp. Hornacek had a small amount of short-lived success with the Phoenix Suns and hopes his second chance keeps him in New York.
However, these New York Knicks face an uphill climb with no concrete goals defined during Media Day. Their hike up the NBA mountain is made more difficult by the lack of trustworthy components on the roster.
There is plenty of reason to now have hope as a Knicks fan. Yet, one of the reasons this team can’t be trusted is very tall and insanely talented.
