Denver Nuggets: 5 goals for Nikola Jokic in 2017-18
1. Lead the Nuggets to the playoffs
After years of trying long and hard to acquire a star, the Nuggets finally landed one in Paul Millsap via free agency, and it did not require them to part ways with any of their young stars such as Murray, Harris or Jokic.
As a result, Denver is projected by most experts around the league, to make it to the postseason for the first time since 2013.
While the outcome of the 2017-18 season has yet to be determined, Jokic will play a huge part in whether or not the Nuggets can end their five-year postseason drought.
He has officially become an elite player in the game today, and with his deep portfolio of skills, Jokic leading Denver back to the playoffs in tough Western Conference would be a great goal to conquer. The Nuggets feature a deep roster with one of the best offenses in the league, and while their defense might be atrocious, the addition of Millsap should help Jokic and others big time on the floor as they seek to play past April.
