The 6’10”, 250-pounder from Serbia posted 16.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game for the Denver Nuggets in his second season with the franchise, and shot nearly 58 percent from the field. Jokic, who shared the majority of his minutes with Jusuf Nurkic, would earn his spot back in the starting lineup midseason, and help lead a major offensive revival in the Rocky Mountains.
The 41st overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft finished second in the 2016-17 Most Improved Player of the Year Award voting and nearly guided his team to the playoffs. The Joker was also the only player in the league to average at least 16 points per game and shoot above 57 percent last season.
Now, the 22-year-old is getting himself prepared for his third year in the league, as fans out in the Mile High City should expect their prized star to receive a heftier workload this time around.
