4. Average at least 2.5 assists per game

In addition to scoring, Bogdanovic is also a good distributor for a shooting guard. He averaged 3.9 assists per game in 2016-17, a career-high. His previous high was the 3.7 per game he doled out in 2013-14 with Partizan. That passing ability will be useful in taking the stagnation out of Sacramento’s offense.

However, with George Hill and De’Aaron Fox running point, there’s a chance that Bogdanovic’s assists numbers will take a hit. Hill averaged 4.2 assists per game in his lone season with the Utah Jazz. Meanwhile, Fox dished out 4.6 assists per game in his single year on campus at Kentucky.

Those two will be the main distributors when they’re on the floor. It could be easy for Bogdanovic to stand on the wing waiting to receive a pass from them. Though it’s tempting to fall into that habit, Bogdanovic still needs to be an active facilitator when he’s on the floor.

That isn’t to say that Bogdanovic should pass up shots for the sake of sharing the ball. However, when he gets the ball, he should always keep an active mind and consider the options. In doing so, Bogdanovic will be sure to find some assist opportunities, and will always have the defense guessing.
