3. Steven Adams will have to improve

Steven Adams is already a solid center, but as said before, the Thunder will have to rely on him heavily in the rebounding game. With four perimeter players out there, Adams is the only low post player.

So that means he will have to give the Thunder some points from the block. As said before, being versatile is the greatest key for the Thunder. The ability to have multiple players who are able to do different things is what will make this outstanding roster become a top contender.

I have been on the record saying that Adams should be able to average a double-double this season and I stand by that. If Adams can do that, it will make the team good from outside in. The Thunder cannot only rely on perimeter players to contend. Adams will have to be a force in the middle. If he is able to hold his ground when the opposing team drives to the hole, then that will help the Thunder keep a top defense intact. Adams was able to average a block a game last season.

Adams is going into his fifth season, all with the Thunder. Adams is also only 24, so he has a lot of time to grow. His scoring average has risen every year until this past season, when it went up to 11.3 points per game. The 2017-18 campaign could possibly be a breakout year for Steven Adams.
