The Boston Celtics had a lot of new faces at Monday’s Media Day. Here are five takeaways as we look toward the 2017-18 season.

Media Day is like the official marker of the new season. The 2017 NBA champion wears “last year’s” crown and the rest of the NBA gets to press the reset button.

We often hear players talk about their lofty goals and ambitions for the next year. Every team feels like they have a chance to qualify for the playoffs and make some postseason noise. But by the 20th game of the season, reality starts to set in for the bottom half of the league.

The Boston Celtics have a lot of new faces, and therefore a lot of new questions heading into the NBA’s new calendar year. The team has exciting new rookies, young players that are ready to accept bigger roles and a new pair of dynamic stars.
