2. James Harden is looking forward to teaming up with Chris Paul

James Harden and Chris Paul have spent so much time with one another over the summer that they have come to learn one another’s tendencies on and off the court.

As the player who had the greatest non-MVP season in the history of the league last season, Harden is thrilled about having the chance to pair up with the dynamic point guard.

"“Ever since I’ve been here, we’ve tried several different guys,” Harden said during his time with the media. “Now, you bring in a future Hall-of-Famer, who is obviously one of the best we’ve ever seen facilitating. “His attention to detail while he’s playing is something that I have not seen or played with.”"

The Beard is fully on board with his new teammate, as he sought to make it clear that he wants to win now.

"“That’s what it’s all about,” Harden said. “All of the individual accolades and stats are behind us. I think championships is what we’re on, and we won’t stop until we get one. “I know what he wants, and quite frankly we want the same thing.”"

While many have questioned how the two stars will manage to co-exist in Houston, Daryl Morey believes that Harden and Paul can work together as a backcourt tandem and wreck havoc on the rest of the league.

"“They’ve been playing in gyms around the country and out of the country all summer,” Morey said. “Just from my watching and coach (D’Antoni) has watched it more than me, we are 100 percent certain it’s going to work.”"

If Harden is truly excited like his comments showcased during Rockets Media Day, and is willing to accept playing more minutes off the ball, then this pairing just might be one of the most exciting to watch on NBA League Pass throughout the 2017-18 season.
