4. Chris Paul is determined to win

Chris Paul is regarded as one of the game’s best point guards. However, none of that appeared to matter to the nine-time All-Star, as the 32-year-old stated that it was time to find a new scenery after playing six seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers and is eager to start playing with his new teammates.

"“I felt like my time in LA…it was time,” Paul said alongside of his backcourt mate Harden in an interview with NBA TV‘s Steve Smith. “It was time for a change not only for me, but maybe for that organization there. And after talking to (Harden), and looking at what they had here….this was the place I wanted to be.”"

Paul also shared why he decided to join the Rockets in his press conference with members of the media as well, as the 13-year veteran stated that his only goal is to win.

"“I came here with one purpose and one goal in mind,” Paul said. “And that’s to win a championship.”"

While winning a championship is not guaranteed, Paul has made a grand first impression on his teammates already, as he had the opportunity to play with Eric Gordon, P.J. Tucker, and Clint Capela over the summer — including Harden, who strongly believes that the two possess what it takes to mesh well on the court with each other and accomplish their one common goal.

"“He thinks different,” Harden said in his address to the media on Monday afternoon. “He’s so intelligent, and a true professional. We will push each other to the limit on and off the court.”"

Paul has been known to possess a highly competitive streak over the years. However, should the fire that lies inside of him continue to remain in place, then he could potentially put together yet another stellar season and become an instant fan favorite in H-Town. CP3 definitely has something to prove.
