It is being reported that the Chicago Bulls and Dwyane Wade have agreed to a buyout. Here are the main takeaways from this move.

The Chicago Bulls have had an active offseason compared to years past. I guess this is what starting from scratch is all about.

Their interesting offseason continued with yet another move that signals the team is firmly committed to rebuilding.

A few weeks ago, it was widely reported the Bulls and Dwyane Wade were heading towards a buyout.

Fast forward to the present and the two sides have in fact agreed to a buyout for the remaining year of Wade’s contract, as first reported by K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

When Wade signed with the Bulls last summer, it became a feel-good story about the hometown kid coming back to suit up for the team he rooted for during his childhood years.

But after posting career lows in several categories, including scoring (18.3 points per game); playing time (29.9 minutes per game) and shooting efficiency (43.4 percent), Wade and the Bulls decided that a parting of the ways would be best for all parties involved.

So the question is: What is the next for the Bulls after cutting ties with the future Hall-of-Famer? Here’s a look at the main takeaways from this recent development.
