2. Otto Porter playing the stretch-4

Otto Porter remains home in Washington after signing a four-year, $106.5 million deal and much like Bradley Beal in 2016-17, the Wizards will look to get their money’s worth from Porter this upcoming season.

One topic that was discussed by head coach Scott Brooks was playing forward Otto Porter at the stretch-4 spot. With his length at 6’8″ and his shooting ability, Porter has the ability to play both forward spots and in some extreme cases, the off-guard position.

With the way the league is evolving, more stretch-4s have the ability to shoot the 3-ball. Luckily for the Wizards, they have the players and the versatility to adjust to this as well.

Considering Morris will miss time with injury, lineups will warrant Porter having to guard the power forward in some cases. Porter is coming off a career season where he averaged a career-high 13.4 points per game and shot 43.4 from 3-point range.

The offseason was a certainly a place for improvement for the forward as he enters his fifth year in the league. It will be interesting to see what he’s added to his arsenal this season.
