3. Can Ian Mahinmi remain healthy?

Mahinmi missed 51 games last season due to lingering knee issues and it put a damper on Washington’s rotation. The 30-year-old returns with a different approach to this season. He switched up his diet and conditioning over the summer. Last season seemed to be a wakeup call for him.
A procedure Mahinmi underwent in early offseason has him feeling great for the 2017-18 campaign, which is a very good thing. With Morris out for an extended period of time, being at optimal health is paramount for this Washington Wizards’ roster.
Mahinmi averaged 5.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game in his 31 appearances for Washington last year. He’ll look to have better production and remain healthy this season as a potential sixth man.
