Strength No. 1: Star power

The Los Angeles Clippers may have lost their biggest star in Chris Paul. However, Chris Paul was never the only star player on the team. Blake Griffin is back in the fold, and could be poised for a breakout year.

He certainly will have the ball in his hands more often, which can only improve his chances of returning to an All-NBA team. Griffin has the best handles of any big man in the league. Despite relying less on his vertical athleticism in recent years, Griffin is still quicker than all but a few frontcourt players. His handle, speed, and elite passing ability make Griffin a threat every time he touches the ball.

Griffin is still not the only star on the team, either. DeAndre Jordan made his second straight All-NBA team last year. He might not be a top-15 player but he is still a menace on the glass and a top-tier rim protector.

Chris Paul will be sorely missed next year, but he was not leading the team single-handedly. Both Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan will be among the best at their positions next year even without the league’s best pure point guard alongside them.
