2. Magic have someone make the All-Star Game

The only meaningful impact the Magic have had at the All-Star Game in recent times has been Gordon’s insane dunk-off with Zach LaVine.

It would be fantastic to have a player from the team make the All-Star game proper, especially with the worrying news coming out that the team operated at a loss last year. Orlando could do with a jolt of excitement and some star power to get people into the arena as well. The Magic ranked 15th in attendance last season.

It doesn’t seem at all likely, but in a decimated Eastern Conference, if Gordon continues flying through the air or Simmons is better than advertised, it could happen.

The Magic only have seven All-Stars in franchise history, with two being transcendent big men in Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard.

The product on the floor will be better this coming year, but there will be tough times. Having something to look forward to during the midseason exhibition would be a welcome distraction.
