The Orlando Magic are a team not many people are paying attention to heading into the 2017-18 season. Here are five bold predictions for this barely mentioned group.

After such a tumultuous summer, it’s fair to say that not many eyes are on the Orlando Magic as we head into the 2017-18 NBA season.

This, despite the fact they’ve just put together their most active and impressive season in half a decade.

Still, Orlando is not seen as a marquee destination for star players, and it doesn’t figure to be a player once the postseason rolls around either.

Yet despite all of that, there’s still enough reason for optimism around this team and a belief that they may surprise a few people, both through individual and team-wide efforts.

With that in mind, here are five bold predictions for this team ahead of the new season, ranging from the barely believable, to the completely unimaginable. What an optimistic time of year this is.
