2. Stay in the rotation all year

McLemore played in all 82 of his team’s games in each of his first two seasons, but that trend stopped in years three and four.

Switching between coaches as frequently as he was forced to may have muddied the waters on what was expected of him, but at the end of the day performance tends to dictate floor time, and McLemore wasn’t a primary rotation piece for the full season in either of his last two campaigns.

That’s concerning, and it’s a reality he should be working to reverse. The Grizzlies need him to be good enough to warrant substantial playing time in every game he’s dressed to play — if for no other reason than the fact that they don’t have a lot of alternatives.

The goal will be for McLemore to play in 85.0 percent of the games he is available to play in, with an average of at least 20 minutes per contest.
