4. Score over 25 points per game

In seven seasons in the NBA, Blake Griffin has accumulated over 10,000 career points, posting an average of 21.5 points per game in 471 career appearances.

With a completely revamped backcourt, following point guard Chris Paul being dealt to Houston and J.J. Redick agreeing to a one-year deal in free agency with the Philadelphia 76ers, Griffin will unquestionably be the primary offensive option for the Clippers.

More from Hoops Habit

While Griffin has averaged more than 23 points per game just once in his career, when he posted 24.1 a night during the 2013-14 season, he managed the lofty point total without needing many scoring opportunities.

Griffin managed to register over 24 points a night on just 17 shots per game, a feat that has been matched just six other times since the turn of the century.

Much of the success of Griffin can be attributed to his ability to rock the rim. While the 28-year-old forward threw down 68 dunks a year ago, he has become a complete offensive threat by greatly expanding his shooting range.

Griffin shot over 40 percent from the field on shots from 16 feet out and inside of the 3-point arc, and knocked down 38 attempts from long range — just four fewer than he totaled during his first six seasons in the NBA.

The Clippers possess a potent scoring threat at each frontcourt position, with DeAndre Jordan and Danilo Gallinari playing alongside Griffin, but he will be the focal point of the offensive attack. With a continually widening shooting range and likely an unprecedented amount of shot attempts, Griffin could be in line for a career year in the scoring column.
