Widely regarded as one of the most exciting up-and-coming teams in the league, here are five bold predictions for the Denver Nuggets in season 2017-18.

Despite losing their leading scorer in Danilo Gallinari this offseason, the future is rosy for the Denver Nuggets.

Last season saw the emergence of an extremely exciting and promising young core of players who are more than capable of leading the franchise to greater heights in the coming seasons.

At the top of the list is center Nikola Jokic, whose game simply took off once he became the certified starter in the middle for the Nuggets. Over his final 51 games of the season as the starting center, Jokic posted 19.2 points, 10.9 rebounds and 5.8 assists in just 29.7 minutes per game. Still just 22 years of age, Jokic is primed to set the league on fire.

Furthermore, the Nuggets unleashed an enviable future backcourt in Gary Harris and Jamal Murray. In his third season, Harris averaged 14.9 points and 1.2 steals per game, which included shooting at a 42.0 percent clip from 3-point range.

For his part, Murray in his rookie year impressed in playing all 82 games while averaging 9.9 points and 2.6 rebounds. Notably, he started six of the final seven games of the season, paving the way for what to look forward to in the future.

While Gallinari departed, the Nuggets were able to secure the signature of All-Star forward Paul Millsap. An 11-year veteran and four-time All-Star, Millsap’s versatility and ability to produce at both ends of the floor should prove to be an invaluable addition for the young Nuggets roster.

With so much excitement surrounding the franchise, here are five bold predictions for the Nuggets in 2017-18.
