As I mentioned prior, C.J. McCollum posted career-highs in field goal percentage, 3-point percentage and free throw percentage, shooting 48.0 percent, 42.0 percent and 91.2 percent, respectively.

Just 29 more buckets (or 58 less attempts) would have secured entry into the prestigious 50-40-90 club.

There are currently seven members of the 50-40-90 club, three of which are still in the league: Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. McCollum was just a hair short of counting himself among them last season.

This season, McCollum is heading into his prime, and he’s been great at consistently posting better shooting numbers every year. I guarantee that one of his goals this year is to earn that elusive 50 percent mark from the field.
