3. Lead the league in rebounds

Since the 2011-12 season, Cousins has been in the top 10 in rebounds per game every year, averaging almost 11 rebounds through his career.

Yet, despite being regarded as one of the league’s best rebounders, the 6’11” force has never led the league in that category. Last season, Cousins finished ninth in boards per game, the lowest he has ever finished in the last five years. While he still remains to be a force reckoned with inside, leading the league in rebounds would make for a great accomplishment, and help him strengthen his chances of making an All-NBA team next season.

It would definitely be of great use to the Pelicans, as Cousins could help them generate offense by punishing teams on the glass, and lead the fastbreak en route to two points. Plus, it’d also provide the team with second-chance opportunities, which every team across the league would love to have more times than not.

The former Kentucky Wildcat star certainly possesses the tools to become the future chairman of the board someday. Now is time to do it.
