1. Win MVP

James Harden should be tired of finishing second.

The face of the franchise has finished as the runner-up in the MVP race two out of the last three seasons, despite putting together the greatest non-MVP resume the league has ever seen, and becoming the first player to ever score and assist on 2,000 points last season.

Although he was voted as the Most Valuable Player by the National Basketball Players Association in 2015, winning the league’s highest honor next season would make for the official icing on the cake.

While last year’s accomplishments will not carry over to next season, Harden should return to the Rockets with something to prove in 2018. No one expected him to put together such a historical season last year, nor help turn Houston into a legitimate title contender, but now all eyes will be on him and Chris Paul come next season.

Now is the time for Harden to show that it was no fluke indeed.
