Steve Nash will go down as one of the best point guards to ever play in the NBA. The two-time MVP and Phoenix Suns legend recently worked out incoming rookie for the Los Angeles Lakers, Lonzo Ball. Following the workout, the highly-touted UCLA product had high praise for Nash.

Lonzo Ball has been in the headlines for any and every reason for over a year now. Whether it is outspoken father, LaVar Ball, making the headline for his son, or another stuffed stat sheet, Ball may be one of the most anticipated rookies the league has had in quite some time.

Recently, Ball worked out with Phoenix Suns legend, Steve Nash. Many times, the Ball family has sparked controversy in the past with things that they said, but for the most part, Lonzo himself has been quiet and humble.

The UCLA product showed gratitude and high praise following his workout with Nash in just another example of him showing everyone that he might be the only mature Ball in the family. Here’s what he had to say in a recent Dime Uproxx article:

"“He’s an MVP, one of the best point guards who was playing, so anything that he taught me is definitely useful,” Ball said. “And just that one day alone I learned a lot, from coming off a screen, to guarding, there’s a lot of things that he helped with and I appreciate him taking time out of his day to do that because I know he didn’t have to.“We talked about all that. Nutrition, keeping your body right in the training room and stuff, lifting weights the right way, so he helped me on more things than just basketball. He helped me with my all around game.”"

It’s refreshing to hear Ball praise one of the NBA’s greats in Nash. It would be easy to root for Ball if it weren’t for him being a Laker, but even with the nice comments about a Suns legend, Phoenix fans, you still have the right to hate on Lonzo Ball by the time the season rolls around.
