Phoenix Suns: 4 reasons Josh Jackson should start over T.J. Warren
By Drew Zlogar
4. Help on both ends
Josh Jackson has the skill-set to be able to help the Phoenix Suns in a big way on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. He is 6’8″ but lengthy, has two pogo sticks for legs, and an attitude that wants to prove why he is a top player on the court every time he laces his sneakers up.
For the three players that have a spot in the starting lineup already; Bledsoe, Booker, and Chriss, they all bring something dynamic to the court.

Eric Bledsoe is a franchise point guard in the way he is able to score the ball but also defend other point guards 94 feet all game. Devin Booker proved that he may be the best scoring guard for players under 22 in the entire NBA last season, highlighted by his 70-point outburst against the Boston Celtics. And Marquese Chriss, bringing athleticism to the 4-5 position, runs the floor well, blocks shots and began to show an ability to step behind the 3-point arc toward the end of last year.
To bring in Jackson, it will add to the list of dynamic playmaking abilities that is already featured among the other three studs the Suns have. Jackson is able to defend a bunch of different positions, score on defenders in a bunch of different ways, and like Chriss, gives guards the ability to just throw the ball toward the rim where he can go up and get it for a thunderous dunk. Easy assist, easy points.

Josh Jackson and T.J. Warren will be in a battle for that small forward position, but with all the potential and athleticism that comes with the rookie, the Suns should really consider starting Jackson.
