Phoenix Suns: 4 reasons Josh Jackson should start over T.J. Warren

1. Poised demeaneor
While many Phoenix Suns fans are becoming more optimistic about where the franchise is going (and rightly so), they still are a ways away from being a contending team in the Western Conference.

With that being said, when it comes to their roster and playing time discussions, no one decision will be that drastic of a move. This is why, when the Suns should roll the ball out on Oct. 18 against the Portland Trail Blazers to begin the regular season, their rookie Josh Jackson should be starting at small forward.
Many will describe starting a rookie on night one of an NBA season, as “throwing him to the wolves,” but who is to say the lights will be too bright for Jackson when he takes the court?
Jackson showed incredible poise being the star of his team while he was at Kansas. It was actually refreshing to see how dynamic and explosive of a player he is, yet how levelheaded he remained throughout any situation during his only year there.
All preliminary signs seem to point in the direction of Jackson being ready and able to handle what the NBA game brings. If I am head coach Earl Watson, I monitor how he plays during training camp, but understand that he will be mentally ready to handle being a pro from game one.
