There are some questions that the Phoenix Suns will have to examine and find answers to as the 2017-18 NBA season looms in the distance. One of the focal points to note is the competition between Josh Jackson and T.J. Warren. Here’s why Josh Jackson should be the starter.

The Phoenix Suns will be monitoring the progress of their two top small forwards, Josh Jackson and T.J. Warren, as they enter training camp for the upcoming 2017-18 NBA season.

The team has a few set-in-stone pieces to their lineup with Eric Bledsoe at the point guard, Devin Booker at the shooting guard and Marquese Chriss playing power forward. Warren and Jackson will be battling it out for the starting spot to fill the 3-hole in the lineup, and it should be a fun competition to watch.

Earlier in the week, HoopsHabit examined the competition from the opposite side of things, taking a look at why T.J. Warren should start the year over Josh Jackson at the small forward position.

However, now it’s time to talk about why the dynamic rookie should start instead. There are a lot of good things to know about the former Kansas Jayhawk, a top-five pick from this year’s NBA Draft, and after reading, it will give you a better look into the upside of the rookie and why he should start this season for the Phoenix Suns.
