Chicago Bulls: 5 goals for Kris Dunn in 2017-18
Chicago Bulls point guard Kris Dunn will be one of three players vying for minutes at the point guard position. Here are five goals he should focus on to increase his chances of having a successful season.
Kris Dunn was one of three players the Chicago Bulls acquired in a draft-night trade for Jimmy Butler. A year ago, Dunn was taken at the No. 5 spot by the Minnesota Timberwolves on the heels of a senior season at Providence in which he posted averages of 16.4 points, 6.2 assists and 2.5 steals per contest.
Dunn also shot the ball at a respectable clip, converting 45 percent of his overall attempts and 37 percent of his attempts from 3-point range. As a result of his solid production, Dunn was named the Big East Player of the Year.
Unfortunately, Dunn did not enjoy the same level of success in his first NBA season with the Timberwolves. In 78 appearances, his averages included 3.8 points, 2.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds per outing.
And with shooting splits of .377/.288/.610, it is safe to say Dunn’s rookie season was a disappointing one on multiple fronts. However, now that he will be suiting up for a new team, there’s an opportunity for him to have a bounce-back season.
With that being said, here’s a look at five goals he should focus on for the upcoming 2017-18 season.
