Washington Wizards: 5 goals for Markieff Morris in 2017-18

2. Being more active on the boards
Markieff Morris plays his role overall pretty well, but one sore spot for a player of his caliber is his rebounding numbers. While not regarded as unproductive, he has steadily improved in this column over the years.
For his career he averages 5.6 rebounds per game, while last season he averaged 6.5 per game which is the highest mark of his career. However, Otto Porter Jr. was right behind him during 2016-17, only who trailing by 0.1 rebounds per game. For the record, Porter is two inches shorter and roughly 50 pounds lighter than Morris.
For as physically demanding the style of play Morris displays on the court, he would be regarded as one of the most well-rounded power forwards in the league if he redefined himself as a tenacious rebounder.
If Morris can focus more on reeling in more possessions on the glass for the Wizards, who finished 20th in total rebounds per game last year, they will be in much better position during the 2017-18 season.
