5. Steady improvement from the outside

Markieff Morris provides the Washington Wizards with a dominant fourth scoring option next to John Wall, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter Jr.. Last season he shot right on track with the league-average, shooting 45.7 percent from the field. What is slightly better than average is his ability to hit from the outside, as he shot for a career high 36.2 percent from beyond the arc against the league average of 35.8 percent.

Overall he is a complete package on offense and is comfortable shooting from any zone on the court. While 28.7 percent of his attempts come from within three feet of the basket, he spreads himself out evenly, shooting just over 15 percent of the time from 10-16 feet from the basket as well as 16+ feet.

The Washington Wizards currently have Otto Porter as arguably the best outside shooter right now, but Markieff Morris having a similar season compared to 2016-17 would be huge.

If he can improve to hitting around 38.0 percent of his shots on the perimeter, the Wizards’ odds of winning will increase and so will Morris’ value on the market.
