1. Lonzo Ball, PG

Don’t pretend like you thought anyone else would be atop this list. This entire season is going to revolve around Lonzo Ball. That means the offense will run through him — it’ll be up to him to ensure that plenty of points end up on that scoreboard.

More from Hoops Habit

It’s not just his passing that is going to make this Lakers offense so fun to watch, though. As we saw during his one season at UCLA and during Summer League, Ball is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to scoring. When the game is on the line, there’s no one’s hands you’d rather have the ball in — at least on this current Los Angeles roster.

Sure, his shooting form is unorthodox, to put it lightly. He also gets the majority of his credit for his elite passing skills. Regardless, the scoring potential is there. Look no further than his ridiculous performance against the Philadelphia 76ers during Summer League for evidence of his ability to take over a game.

Trust me when I say that the Lakers want to see what Ball brings to the table. He’ll be given every opportunity to prove he can be the face of this franchise, even if two superstars are signed next offseason. This season will essentially serve as a test for the 19-year-old sensation.

Luckily for Ball, he’s got the talent to pass the test with flying colors. He can hit from deep, make tough, contested layups or sink a mid-range jumper off the dribble. Look for him to be the driving force for this Lakers offense throughout the 2017-18 season.
