The New York Knicks either made the right move at the time when they initially moved away from Tim Hardaway Jr. after his two years with the team, or the wrong move in bringing him back with a much higher price tag. Or maybe both, since that has been the sole idea centered around the Knicks’ only notable free agency acquisition this summer: Did they pay way too much?

He may not be a perennial All-Star, but he’s what the roster needed: a well-rounded guard who can make sound decisions on the court, playing good defense and bringing youth to aid the rebuild around Kristaps Porzingis.
