Paul George to L.A.?

Although Paul George will be calling the Oklahoma City Thunder home this upcoming season, many are still calling it a rental contract.

Leading up to him being traded by the Indiana Pacers, the 27-year-old had been talking up the Lakers, telling the front office that he wished to join them as soon as he becomes a free agent in 2018. While playing alongside Russell Westbrook could end up causing the forward to stick around, he could also very well leave at the end of the year.

More from Chicago Bulls

In that scenario, it’s most likely he’d continue his career in L.A., possibly with Wade…and maybe even James.

Again, it will be hard to take down the Warriors. But if another super-team starts to form, it at least gives another squad a chance (even if ideally, it would take place within an Eastern Conference ball club). There is only so much even a top-tier player like George can do.

Wade is running out of fuel in his tank so he will not have the ability nor the time to play competitive basketball with a team like the Bulls. That will be a work in progress for the next several seasons. Getting talent such as George to commit to joining him in an already stronger organization is a much more attractive option.
