The New York Knicks are looking forward to a new season starting with training camp this month. Here’s a look back on the five worst moments of 2016-17.

The New York Knicks had one of the most damaging franchise seasons ever put together by a sports organization in recent history. The headlines were constantly negative and filled with topics that had little to do with the already poor performances on the court.

The optimism going into the season was that with new additions such as former league MVP Derrick Rose and veteran big man Joakim Noah, New York would be knocking on the door of a sure playoff berth.

Instead, fans were treated to the complete opposite, spearheaded by poor decisions in the front office and underperforming play every night.

The 31-51 record could be seen as generous when you consider the team barely competed to end the season in the hopes of helping their NBA Draft Lottery chances. Injuries, scandals, fights with current and former players are just some of the main points from the season. So, for the last time Knicks fans, here are the five worst moments of the 2016-17 season.
