3. Create more scoring opportunities for teammates

If one weakness exists in the game of Anthony Davis, it is his ability as a passer. In his five-year career, Davis has turned the ball over 595 times while dishing out just 590 assists. Only once has he finished a season with more assists than turnovers.

Davis has never dished out 10 assists in a game, and has reached seven assists just twice in his 335 career appearances.

Last season, the former Kentucky star totaled a career-high 157 assists, but turned the ball over 181 times — 60 more than any other season of his career. Davis totaled 54 bad passes and had the ball stolen from him on 73 occasions, finishing with five or more turnovers on 11 occasions and dishing out five or more assists just twice.

Part of his struggles stemmed from the constant revolving door in New Orleans, as he passed the ball to 23 different teammates. Anytime he had the ball, Davis was looking to pass to Jrue Holiday, as 38.4 percent of the passes he made last season were to the former All-Star point guard.

With a much more talented supporting cast, Davis should see an uptick in his assist numbers. Less predictability with his passing could also significantly cutdown his turnover figures.
