1. Average over 10 points per game

The lack of proven scoring power on the Hawks’ roster is alarming.

Over the past three years, James Harden has accumulated 6,949 points — more than any player on the Hawks roster has totaled in their career. Dennis Schroder is the only Atlanta player to have finished a season averaging 15 points per game, a feat he didn’t accomplish until last season.

The Hawks averaged 103.2 points per game, the eighth-lowest mark in the league and their offensive rating of 104.9 ranked 27th out of the 30 teams in the association.

Taurean Prince slowly developed into an offensive threat in his college career, averaging 15.9 points per game during his senior season at Baylor.

Initially, Atlanta didn’t anticipate Prince into becoming much of a factor offensively, but with the loss of Paul Millsap, Dwight Howard and Tim Hardaway Jr., three of the top four scorers on the team from a year ago, every player needs to provide a scoring punch.

Prince registered just 11 games with 10 or more points in 59 appearances a year ago, a figure that needs to drastically increase for Atlanta to remain in playoff contention. A scoring average in double figures is expected for Prince if he is going to be a major factor next season.
