Dennis Schroder dribbled an average of 4.84 times per possession and the ball was in his hands for 6.7 minutes per game, tying him for the ninth-highest time of possession in the NBA.
Atlanta simply let Schroder create within the offense at will, enabling him to take 15.4 shots and pass the ball 57.5 times a game. Schroder posted a usage percentage of 27.6 percent, matching Kevin Durant and Gordon Hayward, but his turnovers were much higher.
The 258 turnovers from Schroder were the sixth-most in the NBA and his 3.3 per game ranked as the eighth highest. According to Basketball-Reference, Schroder’s turnovers broke down with 155 bad passes, losing the ball 66 times and “other turnovers” a total of 35 occasions.

For the year, Schroder posted an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.93, tying him with Kay Fielder and Derrick Rose, barely cracking the top-100 in the league. If Schroder can limit his turnovers, his second year in the starting lineup can be a successful one.
