Atlanta Hawks: 5 goals for Dennis Schroder in 2017-18
3. Double his amount of double-doubles
During the first three seasons of his career, Dennis Schroder totaled seven double-doubles. The transition into the starting lineup resulted in a career-high 10 last year.
In each of those 10 games, Schroder dished out 10 or more assists and managed at least 11 points. With his athleticism, Schroder is capable of contributing even more — as a rebounder.
Last season, Schroder grabbed seven rebounds on five occasions, one off his career high, but all the roster turnover has necessitated each player on the team to crash the boards.
Schroder pulled down a career-high 3.1 rebounds a night a season ago, but with the Hawks employing an entirely new starting frontcourt that includes Dewayne Dedmon, John Collins and Taurean Prince likely securing the starting jobs, rebounding help is a necessity.
Plus, if Schroder can elevate his assist frequency, it could go a long way for an offense expected to struggle. If Schroder can contribute additional double-double performances, he could help the team far exceed its expectations as well.
