Bradley Beal is coming off his career best year with the Washington Wizards, here are 5 goals ensuring his success for the upcoming 2017-18 regular season
The Washington Wizards made sure they locked down Bradley Beal back in early 2016 before they extended and retained John Wall and Otto Porter Jr. this summer He is just as key of a component of this team finding success last year and for the next few years to come.
The common thread lately is certainly one the Wizards do not fit into, and that is adjusting their starting five this offseason through free agency to become more competitive. They made no adjustments and the same core will return for the 2017-18 regular season.
Banking on chemistry and continuity, Washington seems to have the belief that talent is not the only thing that matters when it comes to dethroning the Cleveland Cavaliers or Golden State Warriors from their relentless reign and constant trips to the NBA Finals.
The Washington Wizards lost to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals, but just as the Celtics were still favorites over most teams in the East to be top contenders, their roster has become unrecognizable in just one offseason. They may have gained talent, but much-needed chemistry surely took at least one step back.
Bradley Beal and John Wall were not always close teammates, as some observed during various points in the past couple years. But last year they seemed to find the common thread among them and materialized it into a franchise-best season, as well as personal career-best for the duo.
Here are five goals for Bradley Beal’s 2017-18 season to ensure he improves on his career highs and the Wizards’ impressive 49-33 record.
