The Washington Wizards are set for the 2017-18 campaign, so here’s a look at some bold predictions for their upcoming season.

The Washington Wizards had a decent offseason as they re-signed Otto Porter to a max deal and acquired some savvy veterans to add some much-needed bench depth.

The Wizards played it safe with their moves in free agency. They traded away their 52nd draft pick for a proven backup point guard in Tim Frazier. They added a 3-point shooter in Jodie Meeks, then added some help on the interior in forward Mike Scott.

Point guard John Wall and shooting guard Bradley Beal look like they’ll get some much-needed help off the bench. The starting core is still intact as well, although adjustments will need to be made to utilize all the talent on the roster.

Wall and Beal logged nearly 40 minutes per game in the playoffs last season. It took a toll on the overall direction of the team in the long run and eventually, the Wizards lost in seven games in the Eastern Conference semifinals to the Boston Celtics.

Now, with one season under new head coach Scott Brooks under their belts, the Washington Wizards look to adjust. Here’s a look at five bold predictions as the 2017-18 season is right around the corner.
