4. Grant Hill (SF) — No. 2 pick in 1994 NBA Draft

Career stats (with the Pistons):  435 GP, 21.6 PPG, 7.9 RPG, 6.3 APG, 1.6 SPG, 0.6 BPG, 3.3 TOV, 47.6 FG%, 25.6 3P%, 74.6 FT%

The Detroit Pistons used the third pick in the 1994 NBA Draft to select Grant Hill, a former All-American from Duke. Due to nagging injuries that severely hampered Hill’s career, he played his most productive years in the NBA in a Pistons uniform.

The six years Hill spent in Detroit were the best of his career. He averaged 21.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.3 assists during his time there.

Hill made the All-NBA team five times, played in five All-Star Games and shared Rookie of the Year honors with Jason Kidd, all while playing in Detroit. In 1996, Hill won an Olympic Gold Medal in Atlanta, GA as a member of the Dream Team II.

During the 1999-00 season, Hill posted the best numbers of his career and one of the best individual seasons in franchise history. Hill averaged 25.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.4 steals per game during his last season with Detroit. The remarkable season still ranks Hill in the top 10 all-time with the team. He is fourth in scoring average, fifth in assists, seventh in steals, and eighth in points scored.

Hill was an immediate fan favorite and he became the first rookie ever to lead all players in fan votes for the NBA All-Star Game.
