2. Shoot 36 percent from 3-point range

T.J. Warren has been all over the map from 3-point range over the last two years, so it’s hard to tell whether 36 percent is a reasonable expectation.

In his second season, Warren made great strides in that area of his game, knocking down 40 percent of his 1.5 threes per game. Unfortunately, he only played 47 games that season, so that efficient number couldn’t be taken too seriously.

Last season, Warren’s percentage came plummeting back down to earth, with the third-year wing converting just 26.5 percent of his 1.5 threes per game. The injury probably played a part in that, but if Warren wants to keep himself firmly ahead of Josh Jackson and throw his name into the Most Improved Player conversation, he’ll need to show steady progress from downtown.

Bearing that in mind, 36 percent feels like a considerable amount of improvement without being unrealistic. Warren has been crafting his long range shot the past two seasons now, and after the All-Star break, upped his 3-point percentage from 24.7 percent to 32 percent.

The Suns need Warren to learn how to spread the floor, and Warren needs to do so if he wants to have any hope of locking down the starting 3 job for the foreseeable future.
