Los Angeles Clippers: Complete 2017 offseason grades
Milos Teodosic (finally) comes to the NBA
The NBA has been waiting for EuroLeague star Milos Teodosic to come over for years. NBA fans will finally get to see the 30-year-old work his magic in the NBA this season with the Clippers. Teodosic signed a two-year deal for $12.3 million with a second-year player option.
Many people, including new teammate Patrick Beverley, consider the Serbian star to be the best pure passer in the world. Teodosic is not just a passing wizard either; he is an excellent jump shooter from mid-range and the FIBA 3-point line.
The biggest issue with Teodosic, however, is his defense. He is slow and relatively unathletic even in the slower-paced EuroLeague game. While he might be the best passer in the world, he will be one of the worst defenders in the NBA next season.
The Clippers lost one of the best point guard defenders in the league and one of the best passers in the league. They replaced that one man with one of the best point guard defenders in the league in Patrick Beverley. By signing Milos Teodosic, the Clippers more than adequately filled the passing niche as well.
