Following an impressive rookie season with the Philadelphia 76ers, here are five goals for forward Dario Saric in 2017-18.
It was worth the wait for the Philadelphia 76ers as Dario Saric made his NBA debut last season.
After being chosen No. 12 overall in the 2014 NBA Draft, the native Croatian decided to remain in Europe and ply his trade in Turkey before heading to the NBA.
But it wasn’t all smooth sailing to kick off things in his new hometown. As to be expected, an initial transition phase took place, with Saric trying to find his way in the league. Over his first 42 games, Saric struggled, averaging 9.4 points and 5.9 rebounds in 23.9 minutes per game, which included shooting at a terrible 37.0 percent clip from the filed.
However, as he began to find his feet, Saric flourished. Over the final 39 games of his rookie season, Saric posted 16.5 points and 6.8 rebounds in 32.3 minutes per game, which included shooting at a 44.0 percent clip from the field.
A 6’10” forward with the ability to stretch the defense and put the ball on the floor, Saric is a great fit in the modern-day “pace and space” era. While finishing second in voting for Rookie of the Year honors is impressive, there are still of number of areas in Saric’s game that require refining.
With that in mind, here are five goals for Saric during the upcoming 2017-18 season.
